VOICE MAIL

Provides a password protected voice mailbox for each telephone extension in the IPS phone system
Provides up to 255 mailboxes to create "virtual mailboxes" for out of the office users that need password protected message delivery and retrieval capabilities
Lets a caller leave a recorded message at an extension when it is busy, unanswered, or in the Do Not Disturb mode. If the caller does not wish to leave a message, the call can return to the Automated Attendant Main Greeting to make another selection.
Allows creation of "information only" mailboxes which can be used to provide information to a caller (movie schedules, mailing addresses, website, ordering instructions, etc)
Mailbox user options are: Listen to messages, Save a message, Delete, Delete and Play Next, Raise message volume, Notification options, Distribution of messages to other mailboxes, and Message forwarding.
Optional time/date stamping on all messages left
Lights the message lamp on the IPS Key Telephone (Model IVT16D and IVT16N) when new messages are left for a specific user. Turns off when message is retrieved
|
PERSONALIZING YOUR MAILBOX
|
Allows use of a mailbox security code to prevent unauthorized access to your mailbox
Allows you to record a greeting for your mailbox to let the caller know your whereabouts before they leave you a message. The greeting is easily changed from any system phone, or from any offsite phone or cell phone
Informs the caller that their message will be forwarded to you when you are out of the office
Provides an alternative to leaving a message by instructing the caller to reach another extension (operator, secretary, work associate)
By using the Do Not Disturb function, incoming callers can be routed directly to your mailbox without ringing your phone
|
DIALING OPTIONS MENU
|
Allows you to set up a menu of dialing options for Automated Attendant callers who are using Touch Tone phones. The caller simply presses a single number (during the recorded Main Greeting/Instruction Menu) to direct their own call to a pre-programmed destination. For example, you could set it up so that a caller can "Press 2 for Brian Lee" or "Press 3 for Technical Support".
Allows an Automated Attendant Caller to directly dial a specific extension number (assuming they know that extension number). For example "If you know your party's extension, you may dial it at any time".
Allows a caller to be sent directly to a specific mailbox without having to wait on the ringing process. For example, after business hours, "I'm sorry , but our office is closed. You may leave a voice message for any of the following, for Brian Lee, press 2, for sales press 3", etc.
Allows a caller to be sent directly to an Announcement Mailbox. ("For our office hours, mailing address, fax number and website, please press 6")
